Culture can be thought of as the expected behaviors that are required to be accepted in a group. If you conform to the expectations of the group you are rewarded by being  considered part of them; if you do not conform, the consequence is rejection or feeling outcast.

The United Stats is a country made up of native peoples and immigrants from all parts of the world. This diverse population leads to diverse cultures that have developed in regions of the United States. Working in the United States requires an understanding of the different cultures one might encounter and how to successfully bridge cultural gaps to collaborate successfully.
